Sustainable Streets Chippendale is an excellent local example of sustainable solutions used to reuse waste, conserve water, source local and healthy food and reduce pollution. Located near the UTS Ultimo campus which recently hosted a New Agenda workshop, the opportunities for real sustainable change in this part of Sydney are great.

Following the brainstorming session held in August we decided the best way to proceed is to develop a ‘demonstration project’ in a real community. Attended by some of Australia’s best minds, the workshop leverages our collective knowledge of hard and soft infrastructure for the built environment and ensures we move beyond the war of words into specific action.
